Frequently Asked Questions

Get clarity on choosing between coaching and counselling.

Should I book coaching or counselling?
We offer two tracks. Coaching is presence-first socio-emotional support where you bring one current challenge (motivation, relationships, productivity, stress), and a PCT-trained (psychology graduate) coach offers a warm, structured space to offload, clarify, and steady yourself. Therapy is for deeper, persistent patterns where we work on underlying cycles and meaning over time. If you're unsure, start with coaching and we'll recommend the right next step.
What issues are best for coaching (and what isn't appropriate)?
Coaching is best for current, day-to-day challenges where you want support and clarity. For example, work stress, overwhelm, motivation dips, productivity blocks, confidence, communication, and relationships are all suitable for coaching. It's not for deep trauma processing or complex/high-risk situations, which typically belong in therapy.
Can I start with coaching and switch to therapy later (or vice versa)?
Yes. People switch as their needs change. We keep continuity of care by carrying forward a brief summary of what worked and what you're practising (with your consent).
What do we do in a coaching session and will I have to share personal details?
You don't need to share detailed personal history. We start with a brief, high-level check-in on what you want from the session, then spend most of the time talking it through in a supportive space (vent, clarify, plan). If you want, we'll end with a simple next step for the week. You can keep details general.
